Creating Meaningful Art, Mat Cutting and Framing

This one-day workshop is designed for anyone wishing to learn more about creating meaningful art and how to mat and frame his/her twodimensional artwork for presentation. Ron will draw upon his long career in photography by engaging participants in an exercise to sharpen visual thinking, an exercise he created in response to words by Meister Eckhart, a 13th century German theologian and philosopher: “Art is not just for special people, but everyone is a special kind of artist.” After lunch, Ron will demonstrate mat cutting and framing. Each workshop member will have a hands-on opportunity to cut several mats. Ron will provide all materials needed for this workshop and a resource list.
